Westheim is known for an interesting history. Mentioned first in the year 700, the bishops of Wuerzburg and the abbots of Fulda both demand the small village. The ownership varied during the next centuries. It was sold for example in the year 1234 for 100 Silbermarks at the Hochstift in Wuerzburg.
